What we do

Four things, done thoroughly

We deliberately keep the practice narrow. If your matter falls outside these, we'll tell you at the first call and point you to someone who handles it properly.

01

Wills & estates

Drafting wills, setting up trusts, and administering an estate after a death — including the paperwork nobody warns you about.

02

Divorce & separation

Financial settlements and separation agreements, handled without making a difficult situation worse than it needs to be.

03

Children & custody

Custody arrangements and parenting agreements, with a strong preference for resolving things outside a courtroom.

04

Powers of attorney

Putting the right authority in place before it's needed, so decisions can be made when someone can't make them alone.

Fees

What it costs, before you commit

Most firms won't publish this. We do, because "it depends" is not an answer anyone can budget against.

Single will

$420 fixed

Consultation, drafting, and signing. Mirror wills for a couple are $680 together.

Power of attorney

$310 fixed

Financial or health-care authority, drafted and registered. Both together, $520.

Family matters

$240 per hour

Billed in six-minute units, itemised monthly. We'll estimate the total range at the first meeting.

Who you'll deal with

"People arrive at a solicitor's office on the worst week of their year. The least we can do is explain things in words they already know."
Marguerite VancePartner · Admitted 2004

Marguerite has practised family and estate law for twenty-two years, the last fourteen at this firm. She takes on a deliberately limited caseload so that every client speaks to her directly rather than being handed down a chain.
